Studies have recently found that playing computer games has increased reaction times along with other visual skills. There have been various news reports and studies on this that proves that there is a link between playing games and the increase of visual skills. This includes both shooting games which require a controller and place the player in a fast paced environment where they must react quickly to stay alive. Another example is the Nintendo Wii which has two wireless controllers which utilise the accelerometer to make relatively accurate movements, the player will have to react in time to succeed.
